Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop personalized treatment approaches.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience building, employing best practices and adapting to patient feedback.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to ensure effective interventions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote overall emotional healing.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care tailored to each patient's distinct needs.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stability.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to support recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards at all times.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to discuss treatment progress and collaborate on patient care strategies.

• Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and emerging trends in trauma therapy to enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on individuals experiencing trauma-related disorders, including veterans, survivors of abuse, or those coping with grief and loss. Our clientele comprises diverse populations with unique needs, necessitating a culturally competent approach that is sensitive to individual backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience is required.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment methodologies, and resilience-building strategies.

• Expertise in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that lead to positive patient outcomes.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating compassion and a non-judgmental demeanor.

• The ability to manage high-stress situations with professionalism and composure.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

• A capacity to function effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaborative patient care.
