Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients in their recovery process.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging open dialogue and healing among participants.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic and integrated treatment plans.

• Provide crisis intervention services in response to trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support for patients in distress.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and navigate available resources to aid in their recovery journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in regular case consultation and team meetings to share insights, enhance treatment practices, and support one another professionally.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with patients who have experienced trauma and are facing disorders such as PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients often seek therapy for guidance in navigating their emotional healing and learning healthy coping mechanisms. The diverse backgrounds and experiences of our patient population require a therapist who is not only skilled but also deeply compassionate and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience providing therapeutic services with a focus on trauma-related work.

• Demonstrated knowledge and application of trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building strategies.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting empathy and a non-judgmental approach with clients.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Health First Psychotherapy Services offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
