Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments during initial client visits to gain an understanding of their trauma history and psychological needs.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans with a focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies, based on the individual assessment outcomes.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients in processing their experiences.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging clients to share and work through their trauma experiences while promoting emotional healing.
\n
• Coordinate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care, maintaining clear communication and shared treatment goals.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support during emergencies related to trauma, ensuring that clients feel safe and supported.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources, fostering a better understanding of the healing process.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development activities related to trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy, integrating new insights into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role emphasizes care for individuals affected by trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work closely with clients of varying demographics and backgrounds, helping them to navigate their personal healing journeys and implement coping strategies for their daily lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Kansas.
\n
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience, demonstrating competence in trauma-informed care.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders, as well as familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building approaches.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing empathetic and non-judgmental support to clients.
\n
• The ability to remain composed and peaceful in high-stress situations that can arise during therapy.
\n
• Proficiency in EHR systems and general computer applications to document client interactions and maintain accurate records.
\n
• A collaborative spirit, ready to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $104,000.
