Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote telehealth setting, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your own home while reaching patients across New Jersey. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; however, some flexibility may be necessary to accommodate the needs of our patients, ensuring they receive timely and effective support when they need it most.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to gain insights into each patient’s trauma history, preferences, and treatment needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and enhancing coping skills.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address complex trauma responses.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a space for patients to process their trauma and share experiences while instilling hope and healing.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic, integrated care for our patients.

• Provide crisis interventions during emergencies related to trauma, ensuring immediate support and safety for clients.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies, guiding them toward appropriate resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about advances in trauma therapy and contribute to a culture of continuous learning within the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic works primarily with adults who have experienced various forms of trauma. This includes survivors of childhood abuse, domestic violence, and unexpected life events that have led to significant psychological challenges. By focusing on trauma-informed care, your work will directly improve patients' mental health outcomes and facilitate lasting healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in New Jersey.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating compassion and a non-judgmental attitude.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in potentially high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred.

• Demonstrated proficiency in providing trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related documentation requirements.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
