Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, offering flexibility and convenience for both therapists and clients. Our telehealth platform is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology to facilitate secure and engaging therapeutic sessions. While the standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, we understand the importance of adapting to our patients' needs, and some flexibility in scheduling will be required.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments by evaluating patients’ trauma histories to identify the most effective treatment modalities.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that cater specifically to trauma recovery and building resilience, ensuring that every client receives personal attention.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma, devise coping strategies, and ultimately foster healing.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to provide integrated and comprehensive care for patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention and support strategies to assist clients during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective responses.

• Educate both patients and their families about trauma-related responses, empowering them with coping tools and resources for better management and recovery.

• Maintain accurate patient records by utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops focusing on trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist within our practice, you will primarily work with individuals who have been affected by trauma, including survivors of abuse, those with complex PTSD, and clients experiencing dissociative disorders. Our approach prioritizes a tailored treatment experience that respects the unique challenges faced by each patient, fostering a nurturing atmosphere conducive to healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid New Jersey licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
