Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, granting flexibility while allowing you to connect with patients in an outpatient setting. Our therapists work collaboratively in a supportive environment, ensuring that each member of our diverse team is empowered to provide optimal patient care and share expertise on trauma recovery methodologies. Full-time schedules typically span Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments upon initial patient intake, critically evaluating each patient's trauma history to inform effective treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and personal growth.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a therapeutic community where patients can process their trauma and develop essential coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and immediate healing measures.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and the resources available to aid in the recovery process.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of patient progress, in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, sharing insights and enhancing overall treatment strategies for trauma-informed care.

• Stay abreast of current research, new methodologies, and best practices in trauma therapy, bringing innovative ideas to our approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals who have faced traumatic experiences, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. Our clients require a tailored therapeutic approach that acknowledges their unique histories and current challenges, making your role pivotal in guiding them toward recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and empathetic communication skills along with a non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of integrated care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting focused on trauma.

• Demonstrable experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions, with a special emphasis on innovative practices and methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
