Family Wise Counseling, LLC, located in Oakland, California, is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT) to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will provide specialized and trauma-informed mental health care to those impacted by trauma, ensuring they receive the support they need on their path to healing and recovery.

Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to deliver care via telehealth in a flexible and accommodating manner. Our practice supports a work-life balance that adapts to the needs of both therapists and clients, with a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional flexibility may be required to meet patient demands, ensuring their needs are always prioritized.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history, ensuring a deep understanding of their unique experiences.

• Develop tailored, individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and foster resilience, continuously adjusting these plans based on patient progress.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma, learn effective coping strategies, and embrace their healing journey.
\n
• Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies and navigate crisis situations with professionalism and empathy.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available therapeutic resources to enhance their understanding and involvement in the recovery process.

• Maintain meticulous, accurate, and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards using our electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to exchange insights and strategies that bolster our trauma-informed care approach.

• Stay updated with the latest research in trauma therapy to incorporate best practices and innovative techniques into your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting individuals who have endured various forms of trauma. This includes clients struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, and associated mental health conditions. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, showcasing your capacities in the mental health field.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.
\n
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, exemplifying a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• The capacity to remain composed and provide effective support in high-stress situations.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health records systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.
\n
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide enhanced care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer an attractive salary package ranging from USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Newly hired therapists will also be welcomed with a sign-on bonus.
