Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and tailor treatment approaches accordingly.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans emphasizing recovery, resilience-building, and coping strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate therapy sessions that help patients process their traumatic experiences while developing healthy coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and mental health professionals to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and timely support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and available resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients who are survivors of trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This role demands a profound understanding of and sensitivity to the unique challenges faced by trauma survivors, as you will engage with patients in both individual and group settings, supporting their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in New Jersey.

• Demonstrated expertise in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Ability to deliver trauma-focused therapies effectively, with a compassionate and non-judgmental interpersonal style.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, preferably focusing on trauma recovery.
