Key Responsibilities\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will serve at First Hand Psychotherapy Center include individuals struggling with the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral responses related to trauma exposure. This may encompass children, adolescents, and adults facing various challenges arising from past traumatic experiences. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure counseling experience, particularly in trauma-focused settings.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and an understanding of trauma-informed care methodologies and resilience-building approaches.

• Proficiency in employing trauma-focused therapeutic modalities with demonstrated success.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology to facilitate efficient patient management.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of post-licensure experience is mandatory, candidates with experience specific to trauma recovery, especially in telehealth settings, will be particularly well-suited for this role.
