Work Environment\n

This remote position allows you to work from home while still being an integral part of a supportive team. You will benefit from a flexible work schedule, designed to meet both the clinic's operational needs and the diverse requirements of our patients. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to adapt based on patient appointments and needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ histories and tailor appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, employing modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to guide patients through trauma processing, coping strategies, and emotional growth.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to each patient’s care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring their immediate safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families on understanding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, contributing to an organized and compliant therapeutic environment.

• Engage in case consultations, staff meetings, and continuous professional development related to trauma-informed care, ensuring you stay informed about the latest research and therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals who have been affected by various forms of trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will provide tailored support and therapy, emphasizing collaborative healing processes and resilience-building to empower patients on their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health counseling is preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and a strong foundation in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Experience using trauma-focused therapeutic interventions, as well as familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related documentation practices.

• Two years of direct experience delivering trauma therapy is highly desirable, with a solid understanding of the complexities of trauma.

Compensation and Benefits\n
