As a fully remote position, you will leverage telehealth technology to connect with clients throughout Jersey City, New Jersey, and beyond. The typical work schedule runs Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history, allowing for tailored treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and cultivate resilience in patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient progress.

• Organize and lead both individual and group therapy sessions focusing on trauma processing, coping mechanisms, and overall healing.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic treatment approach.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, equipping patients with immediate coping strategies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on the impact of trauma, responses, and available support resources.
\n
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to the ongoing evolution of trauma-informed care practices.

• Continuously expand your knowledge by staying current with research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary patient population comprises individuals who have endured various types of trauma, including but not limited to those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By focusing on trauma-informed care, we are dedicated to providing the specialized support necessary for these patients to regain control and lead fulfilling lives.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably with a focus on trauma-related disorders.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and strategies for resilience-building.
\n
• Proven experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and tailored interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship.

• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations, providing stability to clients during their healing process.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technology.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

Preference will be given to candidates with additional certifications in trauma therapy techniques, as well as those who have contributed to community outreach programs aimed at supporting trauma survivors. Familiarity with culturally competent practices in mental health therapy will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
