Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will undertake a variety of critical responsibilities, including:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and tailor appropriate treatment approaches.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and building resilience among patients.
\n
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process trauma, learn coping strategies, and promote their overall healing journey.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.

• Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the resources available to support their healing.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will support a diverse patient population, many of whom may face barriers to accessing mental health care. Your expertise will empower clients to navigate their healing process, ultimately improving their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• Strong expertise in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations and offer effective crisis intervention.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and common computer applications for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we are particularly interested in applicants with hands-on experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. Familiarity with evidence-based practices for trauma recovery and a track record of successful patient engagement will be seen as assets.
