Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather detailed histories and understand each patient’s unique trauma experiences.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that focus on recovery and resilience based on the best practices in trauma therapy.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Deliver engaging individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care that promotes positive patient outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during instances of trauma-related emergencies or acute distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available support resources in the community.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards pertaining to mental health services.

• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to continuously enhance your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on supporting individuals who have suffered from various forms of trauma. This includes survivors of childhood abuse, domestic violence, and individuals with PTSD. You will work to create an emotionally safe space that fosters trust, allowing patients to share their experiences and contribute actively to their healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.

• 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred, with a focus on trauma-informed care being highly beneficial.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and proven experience in applying trauma-focused treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to maintain composure during high-stress situations, ensuring patients feel safe and supported.
\n
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiar with relevant computer applications.
\n
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with specific trauma therapies is a plus, including EMDR or TF-CBT.

• Prior work in community health settings or with diverse populations is advantageous.
