Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including interviews and assessments, to establish a client’s psychological profile and treatment needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to the unique circumstances of clients, whether they are individuals, couples, or families.

• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, using therapeutic modalities suited to varying client needs and ensuring a safe, supportive space for open dialogue.

• Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers.

• Manage referrals to external resources and support services, ensuring a holistic approach to the client's mental health journey.

• Identify potential barriers to healing and recovery, offering proactive strategies to address and alleviate these challenges for clients and their families.

• Provide education and support to family members and caregivers about mental health issues, fostering a stronger support system for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client base, including individuals coping with a range of mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role is crucial in providing culturally competent care and ensuring that every client feels heard, respected, and supported throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• A passing score on relevant examinations such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for efficient case management and documentation.
\n
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective client interactions and professional collaboration.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, ideally in a community health setting or similar environment.

• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

• A comprehensive understanding of the interplay between physical and emotional health conditions, particularly in the context of addiction recovery.

Compensation and Benefits\n

In recognition of your expertise and contribution to our mission, Faith and Hope Counseling Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
