Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients to gather historical, behavioral, and emotional data.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health status to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique circumstances.

• Facilitate a variety of therapeutic interventions, including individual counseling sessions and group therapy, fostering a safe and empowering environment for client exploration and growth.

• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to ensure effective outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with a team of psychiatrists, primary care physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to create integrated intervention plans tailored to each client.

• Follow up on referrals and maintain open communication with other healthcare providers involved in the clients' care.

• Provide guidance and support to family members and caregivers to effectively manage mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to address these challenges proactively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve encompass a diverse range of individuals experiencing various mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and substance abuse challenges. Our clinic prioritizes a client-centered approach, focusing on promoting recovery, resilience, and overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

• Successful completion of national examinations such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong analytical and clinical skills informed by solid experience in diverse therapeutic modalities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document client interactions and track treatment progress effectively.

• Experience addressing complex mental health issues, including co-occurring physical health conditions and substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• An understanding of pharmacological treatments and their impacts on mental health as prescribed by medical professionals.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills complemented by strong interpersonal abilities to connect with diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
