Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments that delve into patients' trauma histories and establish appropriate therapeutic pathways.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions to help clients process their experiences, cultivate coping skills, and foster emotional healing.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support in response to trauma-related emergencies, empowering clients during acute distress.

• Educate clients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping strategies, and the resources available to them.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage with interdisciplinary case consultations and contribute to professional development initiatives centered on trauma-informed care.

• Commit to staying informed about the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse array of clients, including survivors of various trauma forms. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment practices.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, paired with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and capability in utilizing various computer applications to maintain patient documentation.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and maintain a patient-first mindset.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting is preferred.

• A background in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n
