Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma history and develop appropriate treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies centered on trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Provide engaging individual and group therapy sessions to facilitate healing, helping patients process their traumas and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for patients, addressing both mental health and psychosocial needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clientele of Family Matters Health Care Clinic primarily includes individuals dealing with trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, veterans, and those experiencing postpartum and other related psychological struggles. By focusing on trauma-informed approaches, we aim to empower our clients and promote healing through compassionate support and evidence-based treatments.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a strong preference for those with a focus on trauma.
