Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments, emphasizing the understanding of each client’s unique trauma history to tailor appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Engage collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and continuity of services for our clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice is centered around individuals who have faced trauma in various forms, including survivors of abuse, natural disasters, and other significant life events. The therapist in this role will work closely with these clients, helping them to navigate their experiences, regain control, and enhance their overall mental health. Emphasis is placed on fostering a treatment environment that acknowledges and respects each individual's history and trauma responses.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• Desirable candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders, including trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building approaches is essential.

• Demonstrable experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions to diverse clientele.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills combined with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.

• A calm demeanor in high-stress situations, enabling effective crisis management.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications relevant to mental health practice.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, experience in specialized trauma therapies, such as EMDR or TF-CBT, is highly desirable. Further, familiarity with community resources for trauma survivors and experience in facilitating group therapy can enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
