This position is primarily remote, allowing you to operate from the comfort of your home while staying connected with our outpatient office team. As part of our commitment to flexibility, some scheduling adjustments may be necessary based on patient needs. Our workweek is structured from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a stable foundation for work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds, trauma histories, and immediate support needs, forming the basis for tailored treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering resilience and promoting recovery among patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, offering a structured approach to help patients process their trauma, develop essential coping strategies, and move toward recovery.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and health professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and stability.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, guiding them through available coping mechanisms and supportive resources within the community.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation according to legal and ethical standards, ensuring that patient information is secure and accessible for care continuity.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced varying levels of trauma, from acute incidents to prolonged exposure to stressful environments. Many of our clients are navigating issues related to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your ability to create a trusting therapeutic relationship will be vital in helping these patients embark on their healing processes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
