Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive and trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history, strengths, and treatment needs.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that focus on effective trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients to process their trauma experiences, learn healthy coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care, sharing insights, and coordinating treatment efforts.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to patients during trauma-related emergencies, employing quick assessment and responsive strategies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and coping mechanisms to enhance understanding and facilitate recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other legal standards, ensuring all patient records are up-to-date and securely managed.

• Engage in case consultations, participate in team meetings, and partake in ongoing professional development to enhance trauma-informed care approaches.

• Stay informed about emerging research and best practices related to trauma therapy to continuously improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals who have experienced varying levels of trauma, including those grappling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State is mandatory.

• A strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and experience utilizing trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to establish therapeutic rapport in a virtual environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing therapeutic services, particularly in trauma-focused therapies, is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
