Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth clinical assessments to identify clients’ mental health needs, utilizing evidence-based screening tools and methodologies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with clients' goals, adapting therapeutic strategies as needed.

• Provide diverse counseling services, including individual, couples, and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and addiction specialists, to ensure comprehensive, well-rounded care for each client.

• Maintain thorough and confidential client records, adhering to legal and ethical standards amidst the complexities of mental health treatment.

• Engage in continuous clinical supervision and participate in case conferences to discuss therapeutic approaches and client progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with clients experiencing challenges related to substance use and accompanying mental health issues. Our patient population comprises individuals seeking support through various stages of recovery, including those who are new to treatment, as well as those with persistent substance misuse. We also focus on intervening during emotional crises, trauma responses, and suicidal ideation, all while ensuring cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field is required.

• Current and independent LMHC license in New York State is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n
