Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive crisis assessments and interventions for individuals experiencing urgent mental health emergencies, including substance abuse-related crises.

• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders during crisis situations to ensure client safety and effective intervention outcomes.

• Implement and manage follow-up care plans, including recommendations for ongoing treatment options, to facilitate long-term recovery.

• Utilize advanced crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques to effectively address high-stress situations and promote stabilization.

• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in training programs that enhance crisis counseling skills and trauma-informed care practices.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans to comply with ethical and legal standards in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Salinas Behavioral Health, you will predominantly work with clients facing addiction and substance abuse issues. Many of these individuals may also be dealing with co-occurring mental health disorders, such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related symptoms. You will play a crucial role in not only delivering effective addiction therapy but also in addressing the broader aspects of mental health that contribute to a holistic recovery process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in the state of Florida.

• At least three years of recent experience in providing crisis intervention and mental health counseling services, preferably in addiction therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer a sign-on bonus to new hires joining our team.
