Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' history and readiness for treatment.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with evidence-based practices for trauma recovery.

• Provide a range of therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating discussions that help clients process trauma and build coping mechanisms.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure the holistic well-being of patients.

• Offer crisis intervention support during emergencies related to trauma, remaining a calm and steady presence for clients.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and resources available to them.
\n
• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research and strategies in trauma therapy to continually improve patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including survivors of abuse, accidents, and other distressing events. By employing trauma-informed methodologies, you will help clients navigate complex emotional landscapes and empower them to reclaim their lives. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and resilience-building techniques.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience providing trauma-focused therapy preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
