This position operates in a flexible, remote setting, allowing counselors to conduct sessions from their home or a location of their choice. Our outpatient office in Islip serves as a central hub for face-to-face interactions when necessary. We maintain extensive support for our clinicians, including administrative assistance for scheduling and client services, ensuring that your focus remains on therapeutic practice without the distractions of administrative burdens. With operational hours from 7 AM to 10 PM, our flexible scheduling allows for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify clients' needs and develop appropriate, individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to promote healing, develop coping strategies, and support resilience in clients dealing with trauma.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and specialists, to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support in response to trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and mental well-being.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma, coping mechanisms, and the range of resources available to support their journey.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards while participating in regular case consultations and professional development focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed on the latest research and innovations in trauma therapy to enhance treatment efficacy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current License as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.

• Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic approaches, particularly those focused on trauma recovery.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer:
