Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, enabling flexibility to balance professional and personal commitments. However, you will also have opportunities to meet clients face-to-face in our outpatient office in Mount Vernon, New York. Our workspace is designed to foster collaboration, ongoing professional development, and seamless communication within our dedicated team of mental health professionals. We operate from 7 AM to 10 PM every day, offering a supportive schedule that easily accommodates the needs of our staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that are trauma-informed, evaluating each patient's unique trauma history to inform treatment choices.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies, tailored to each patient's specific needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), effectively addressing diverse patient backgrounds.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to process their traumas and develop effective coping strategies.

• Work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to ensure a comprehensive, integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support, addressing trauma-related emergencies with skill and compassion.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in line with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities that focus on trauma-informed care best practices.

• Stay current with the latest developments in trauma therapy through continued education and training, contributing to enhanced patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our team serves a diverse patient population experiencing trauma, stress, and anxiety. We are particularly focused on providing culturally sensitive care that addresses the unique needs of each individual. We are looking for Behavioral Health Generalists who are open to working with couples, with training provided to ensure effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred.

• Strong familiarity with trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach in all client interactions.

• The ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications relevant to clinical practice.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to USD 110,000 annually, with guaranteed pay increases and bonus opportunities.
