This role offers the opportunity to work mainly from the comfort of your home, with the occasional requirement for in-person sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Atascosa, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients’ trauma history and guide treatment decisions.

• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and personal growth.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, notably Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to help clients process their trauma experiences and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Working collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate an integrated approach to patient care.

• Providing crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance when needed.
\n
• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to further knowledge in trauma-informed care practices.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess the following:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMHC in the state of New York.

• A strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

\n

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
