Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine the mental health status and needs of clients.

• Create customized treatment plans that address the specific challenges and goals of each client, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions via telehealth, utilizing various techniques suitable for diverse populations, including crisis intervention skills when necessary.

• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR), ensuring that all documentation is completed promptly and in accordance with regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, when needed, to provide comprehensive care—this may include referrals to psychiatrists or other specialists based on the client’s needs.

• Provide clients with tools, resources, and coping strategies to help them manage their conditions effectively.

• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss case progress and share insights and resources with colleagues to enhance the quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your practice will encompass a diverse client population experiencing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, trauma-related conditions, and eating disorders. You will engage with clients from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, making cultural competence crucial in tailoring therapy to meet their unique needs. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or other equivalent licensure in the state of New York.

• Four years of relevant clinical experience, demonstrating proficiency in various therapeutic modalities.

• An extensive understanding of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, as well as cultural competence in therapy.

• Experience in providing both individual and group therapy sessions, with a commitment to inclusive practices.

• Strong crisis intervention skills with the capacity to manage complex and challenging situations effectively.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for the formation of strong therapeutic alliances with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in telehealth delivery of mental health services, with familiarity using electronic health record systems.

• Expertise in evidence-based treatment models, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
