You will provide a blend of telehealth and in-person therapy sessions, primarily based in Seneca Falls, NY, while making a significant impact in the lives of those dealing with trauma-related challenges.

This role is primarily remote, allowing flexible work arrangements that suit your schedule. While the position offers the freedom to conduct sessions from home, you will also have opportunities for in-person interactions within our supportive community health clinic environment. With operational hours from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, you will have the ability to adapt your schedule to meet both your personal needs and the needs of your clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Atascosa Trauma, Stress, and Anxiety Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' histories and needs, ensuring accurate identification of appropriate treatment modalities.

• Designing and implementing personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, equipping clients with tools for resilience and coping.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Leading individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for clients to explore their experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and support one another in recovery.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to promote comprehensive, integrated care for all patients.
\n
• Providing immediate crisis intervention to support clients in trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating psychological first aid techniques.
\n
• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance their support networks.

• Maintaining precise and confidential documentation of client records to adhere to legal and ethical standards.

• Engaging in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to remain at the forefront of trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population consisting of individuals experiencing various trauma-induced mental health challenges. Your focus will include helping clients navigate trauma-related disorders, build resilience, and develop effective coping strategies. Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.

• Ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with clients, demonstrating a supportive and non-judgmental approach.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
