Work Environment\n

This full-time position is primarily remote, allowing flexibility for mental health counselors to manage their schedules effectively. Our clinic is operational seven days a week from 7 AM to 10 PM, supporting a work-life balance that accommodates the needs of both staff and patients. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Atascosa, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' history of trauma and make informed treatment decisions.

• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience enhancement.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Providing both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma and develop robust coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to coordinate integrated care tailored to patient needs.
\n
• Responding to crisis situations with effective intervention methods, offering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to empower informed decisions regarding their care.

• Maintaining comprehensive documentation while adhering to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards.

• Participating in professional development activities, such as team meetings and case consultations centered on advancing trauma-informed care.

Qualifications\n

We require the following qualifications for applicants:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LMHC in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, especially in trauma-focused therapy.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental approach toward patients.

• The ability to remain composed and effective during stressful circumstances.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with office computer applications.

• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 110,000 annually , depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer:
