Work Environment\n

This remote position offers the flexibility of telehealth services while also enabling opportunities for face-to-face interactions, fostering a holistic approach to care. Our operational hours extend from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, allowing you to set your schedule to fit your personal and professional needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at our center, you will undertake a variety of tasks aimed at fostering recovery and well-being:

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand a patient's trauma history and overall mental health status.

• Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans designed to assist clients in overcoming trauma and building resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to help clients process traumatic experiences and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

You will be working primarily with individuals who have experienced varying degrees of trauma, stress, and anxiety. This diverse patient population requires a nuanced understanding of trauma-related disorders and the ability to tailor interventions to meet their specific needs. Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMHC in New York State.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value dedication and a passion for learning and growth. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and the capacity to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team are essential.
