Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories and formulate effective treatment approaches.

• Develop individualized treatment plans designed to facilitate trauma recovery and foster resilience among clients.
\n
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and support their healing journey.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and mental health professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.
\n
• Respond to crisis situations with sensitivity and professionalism, providing immediate support to clients during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance their support networks.

• Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and confidential documentation of client progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops focused on trauma-informed care principles.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy practices to continually enhance your professional expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse clientele, primarily consisting of individuals dealing with trauma-related disorders. Our patient population includes adults, adolescents, and families affected by various forms of trauma. By utilizing tailored approaches, you can deliver compassionate care that meets the unique needs of each client, ultimately fostering resilience and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.

• Strong theoretical foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer:
