Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history and needs, guiding treatment direction.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process traumatic experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and foster emotional support.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, other healthcare providers, and the patient's support network to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies related to trauma, ensuring patient safety and a proper response to urgent needs.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses and available coping tools, fostering understanding and engagement in the treatment process.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions focused on enhancing trauma-informed care.

• Stay updated on current research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve your therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with trauma survivors, including individuals diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The patients you support may range from children to adults, each with distinctive needs and experiences. Your role will be instrumental in empowering these individuals on their journey to healing by providing compassionate and informed care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York is required.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to conduct trauma-focused therapies, showcasing familiarity with relevant therapeutic techniques.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental disposition.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a solid understanding of basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
