Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' mental health, history of trauma, and identify tailored treatment approaches.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that emphasize recovery and resilience, using evidence-based practices.

• Utilize therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to aid patient recovery.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with a team of psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure an integrated care approach for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and emotional support.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources to empower their recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development to enhance trauma-informed practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously improve patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at Peace and Purpose Psychotherapy Center, you will primarily work with individuals impacted by various forms of trauma. This includes adults and adolescents coping with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will be vital in helping patients navigate their journeys toward healing, fostering trust and compassion within the therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW within the state of California.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technologies for patient documentation and care management.
\n
• Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we welcome passionate candidates who are eager to grow and specialize in trauma-informed care. Experience with trauma-focused therapies and a track record of effectively assisting patients through recovery will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
