Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients' unique trauma histories, incorporating standardized assessment tools to guide treatment planning.

• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery tailored to each patient’s specific needs and goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, learn effective coping strategies, and foster resilience.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to care for each patient.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques to manage acute situations.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available resources, empowering them with knowledge and skills critical to the recovery process.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical standards, and organizational policies.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities aimed at enhancing your understanding and practice of trauma-informed care.

• Proactively stay updated on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, integrating new knowledge into your clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals affected by trauma, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, using a person-centered approach to create meaningful connections that support their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Must hold current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling with a focus on trauma.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The offered salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
