Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments aimed at evaluating each patient’s unique trauma history and determining appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and long-term mental health stability.
\n
• Apply evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions to help clients process their trauma, develop essential coping strategies, and promote lasting emotional healing.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure integrated and holistic care for your clients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing trauma-related episodes or crises.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms while directing them to relevant resources and support systems.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical documentation in adherence to legal and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Engage in peer case consultations and contribute to team meetings focused on best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Stay current with developments in trauma therapy research to continually refine skills and approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have faced significant trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Many of our clients have experienced a range of adverse life events, and your role will be crucial in guiding them towards recovery and improved quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.
\n
• Sound knowledge of trauma-related disorders and proven experience in applying trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a non-judgmental, empathetic approach.
\n
• Adept at remaining calm and effective in high-stress situations while maintaining client-centered care.
\n
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.
\n
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we recognize the value of diverse experiences and skills in effectively supporting our trauma-affected clients. Experience in trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be highly regarded.
