Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' mental health histories and identify their specific treatment needs.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that address each patient's unique trauma experiences and support their paths to recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to guide patients through their healing processes.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, enabling patients to share their experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and promote communal healing.

• Work integratively with other healthcare professionals by participating in collaborative treatment planning and regular case consultations, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, demonstrating a calm and composed presence during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available to aid in their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse and vulnerable clientele, primarily individuals who are survivors of trauma, including those affected by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will enable you to create a safe space for these individuals, helping them to process their experiences and develop resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Massachusetts.

• Proficient understanding of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, particularly in trauma-informed care.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills paired with a nurturing, non-judgmental demeanor.
