Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history, strengths, and needs, shaping the basis for their individualized treatment plans.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment strategies aimed at promoting recovery and resilience, ensuring that all approaches are culturally competent and reflect the values of our clinic.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate recovery.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that enable patients to process trauma, build coping skills, and support one another’s healing journeys.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other behavioral health professionals to ensure comprehensive care that addresses both psychological and pharmacological needs.

• Perform crisis intervention when necessary, providing support and guidance to patients experiencing immediate trauma-related challenges.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, offering solid resources to aid in recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with federal and state regulations, ensuring effective communication within the health record system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling, preferably in trauma-informed settings.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies, as well as a commitment to resilience-building practices.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills paired with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client care.

• Ability to maintain composure and clarity in high-stress situations, supporting clients effectively during crises.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications for clinical documentation.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
