Work Environment\n

You will be part of a forward-thinking outpatient office that prioritizes a supportive culture and collaboration among professionals. Although the role is primarily remote, our team values face-to-face interactions during clinical meetings and consultations when needed. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient schedules and urgent care needs. This structure allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while still delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' backgrounds and specific trauma histories.

• Develop and execute personalized treatment plans focused on recovery and resilience, integrating best practices in trauma therapy.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support patient progress.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process their experiences and learn effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to offer comprehensive, integrated treatment for patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention support when traumatic emergencies occur, ensuring immediate assistance is provided.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma, enabling them to understand symptoms and empowering them with coping resources.

• Maintain confidential and accurate patient records, complying with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations and multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance treatment outcomes.

• Stay informed about the latest research developments in trauma therapy and continually refine your clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves individuals affected by trauma related to complex life experiences, including but not limited to childhood adversity, relationship violence, and acute psychological distress. Your work will focus on helping these patients heal through personalized therapeutic approaches. You will embrace their unique stories, adapting treatment modalities to meet diverse needs.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of two years of relevant post-licensure experience in a mental health setting.

• Deep knowledge of trauma-related disorders and adeptness in trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental approach.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications essential for modern therapy practice.

• A collaborative spirit and a commitment to working effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates with experience specifically in trauma-focused therapeutic practices will find the greatest success in this position. Familiarity with a range of therapeutic interventions in both individual and group settings is highly desirable, enhancing your ability to connect with and support patients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The role of Licensed Mental Health Counselor offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
