This role offers the flexibility of remote work, with a focus on outpatient care. You will enjoy a predictable schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility to accommodate patient care requirements.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to understand the unique backgrounds of each patient, and design tailored treatment plans that adhere to best practices in mental health care.

• Employ a range of therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide individuals through their healing journey.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at fostering recovery, enhancing coping mechanisms, and addressing trauma-related challenges.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated treatment approach that prioritizes the holistic well-being of each patient.

• Deliver critical crisis intervention support during traumatic emergencies, utilizing your skills to provide immediate assistance and guidance.

• Educate patients and their families on the nature of traumatic responses and effective coping strategies, empowering them with knowledge to navigate their healing process.

• Maintain diligent and confidential case documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, contributing to our commitment to high-quality care.

• Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, such as team meetings and case consultations, to refine your skills and stay informed about advancements in therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our focus is primarily on individuals grappling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. You will work with a diverse array of patients, each carrying their unique stories and experiences. Your role is to support them as they confront their past and build resilience for the future.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York state is essential.
\n
• Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and therapeutic approaches aimed at recovery and resilience is necessary.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and an array of relevant computer applications to document and manage patient care.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster therapeutic alliances with patients and collaborative relationships with peers.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling is preferred.

• Background in trauma-informed care and familiarity with relevant treatment modalities will be advantageous.

• Experience working in outpatient settings and with diverse populations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
