Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately gauge patients' trauma histories and develop tailored treatment strategies.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and building resilience, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.

• Employ therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both one-on-one and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and various healthcare professionals to ensure an integrative and holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, applying your skills to manage sensitive and high-stress situations effectively.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and guide them towards available resources.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date documentation in adherence to legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on adults and adolescents dealing with complex trauma and its aftermath. You will play a pivotal role in their recovery journey, ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care tailored to their individual needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker-R (LCSW-R) in New York State.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methods.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, providing a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
