Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from a dedicated home office. Although most client interactions will occur through teletherapy, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and counselors, ensuring comprehensive and integrated care. Our outpatient office resources and support systems are in place to facilitate a positive and effective therapeutic process.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' backgrounds and identify suitable therapeutic pathways.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, oversight, and resilience-building in collaboration with clients.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during both individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate therapeutic sessions that encourage clients to articulate their experiences, develop coping strategies, and foster healing.

• Provide crisis intervention support during times of acute trauma-related emergencies or crises.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards while ensuring client confidentiality.

• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and contribute to team meetings and case consultations focused on trauma-informed care principles.

• Stay abreast of current research, methodologies, and best practices regarding trauma and mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary clients will include individuals dealing with the aftermath of traumatic events, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, natural disasters, and other significant life stressors. Understanding the complexities of trauma responses and creating a safe, compassionate relationship with clients will be vital to fostering trust and facilitating their recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated understanding and application of trauma-related theoretical frameworks and treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that allow for empathetic engagement with clients and collaboration with team members.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications necessary for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, ideally with a focus on trauma-informed care.
