Key Responsibilities\n

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and guide the development of tailored treatment plans.

• Implementing evidence-based interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
\n
• Facilitating individual therapy sessions while also leading group therapy meetings that foster peer support and recovery.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for every patient.
\n
• Providing crisis intervention services during emergencies related to trauma responses.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about trauma, coping mechanisms, and available support systems to empower them on their recovery journey.
\n
• Maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR) and other documentation in line with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and improve treatment approaches.
\n
• Staying current with the latest research and developments in trauma-informed care practices to continuously enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to childhood abuse, domestic violence, and experiences of neglect. Our clients often face challenges associated with PTSD and other trauma-related disorders. By providing individualized, trauma-informed care, you will play a crucial role in guiding these individuals towards recovery and fostering resilience.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Strong depth of understanding regarding trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed methodologies.
\n
• Experience in delivering therapy based on trauma-focused approaches.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and a non-judgmental, empathetic approach to client interactions.
\n
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and the proficiency to leverage these tools for service delivery.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in areas focused on trauma recovery and mental health counseling. This experience will enhance your ability to make informed decisions and provide high-quality therapeutic interventions.
