Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients’ trauma history, current mental health status, and readiness for treatment interventions.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans centered around recovery from trauma, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process their trauma experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and foster a sense of healing.

• Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and support staff, to promote integrated and holistic care for each patient.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, while connecting them to relevant resources within the community.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, using our electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance your skills in trauma-informed care.

• Stay updated on advancements in trauma therapy by participating in training and research activities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with clients who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of domestic violence, childhood abuse, and other distressing life events. Our patients often present with complex mental health issues necessitating sensitive, informed therapeutic approaches. Your expertise in trauma-focused therapies will play a critical role in their healing and recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, ideally in trauma-focused therapy.
\n
• Robust understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proficient in using EHR systems to manage patient information and treatment documentation.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and the ability to build rapport with patients.

• Ability to excel in high-stress situations, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits\n
