Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s history and develop appropriate treatment approaches tailored to their needs.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, drawing upon the latest evidence-based interventions.

• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to effectively address trauma symptoms.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a supportive space for patients to process their trauma and work on coping strategies.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stabilization.

• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma and effective coping strategies, helping them navigate their recovery process.

• Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and departmental mandates.

• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who are traumatized by various experiences, including but not limited to combat, abuse, loss, or natural disasters. Your expertise will help guide them through the complexities of trauma recovery, enabling them to develop resilience and regain control in their lives. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.

• Knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate approach to therapy.

• Expertise in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
\n
• A desire to continuously improve your skills and knowledge in trauma care.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, with a focus on trauma counseling preferred.

• Experience working in a community health setting and understanding the unique challenges faced by trauma survivors.

• Familiarity with group therapy facilitation and psycho-educational workshops.
