Key Responsibilities\n

In this vital role, you will:

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that prioritize trauma-informed approaches for evaluating patients' trauma history.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans targeting trauma recovery, ensuring the therapeutic processes are empathetic and tailored to each patient's needs.

• Utilize evidence-based treatment methodologies, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions that empower patients to process traumatic experiences and build effective coping strategies.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans, enhancing therapeutic outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate and compassionate assistance.

• Educate patients and families about trauma responses and the resources available to support their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice predominantly serves adult and adolescent clients who are experiencing the effects of trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be responsible for fostering a safe therapeutic environment, enabling clients to share their experiences while guiding them through the recovery process with sensitivity and expertise.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, you must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

• Strong grounding in trauma-related disorders and associated therapeutic modalities.

Preferred Experience\n
