Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health needs, including diagnostic assessments and creating treatment plans tailored to their unique situations.

• Provide individual counseling sessions where you will guide clients through managing various mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction challenges, using techniques grounded in best practices.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions designed to foster community and support among clients facing common mental health challenges, utilizing your training to create engaging and informative sessions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that include measurable goals and interventions aimed at promoting clients’ mental well-being.

• Respond to clients in crisis by delivering immediate support, performing risk assessments, and coordinating necessary emergency interventions to ensure their safety.

• Stay abreast of current trends and advancements in mental health practices through continuous education and participation in professional development opportunities.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.

Your client focus will be on individuals from diverse backgrounds who seek support in managing their mental health. The community health clinic setting means you will work with a wide variety of clients, each with their unique life experiences, challenges, and cultural perspectives. Building trust and rapport with clients will be fundamental in achieving positive treatment outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida.

• Completion of a minimum of three years of supervised clinical hours in accordance with state regulations, inclusive of postgraduate supervised experience.

• Excellent counseling and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, fostering an environment of support and encouragement.

• Ability to perform in-depth assessments of clients’ mental health conditions, with a strong understanding of diagnostic criteria.

Compensation and Benefits\n
