Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient’s unique trauma history and therapeutic needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery while fostering resilience in patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through trauma processing, coping strategy development, and emotional regulation.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic and integrated care strategies.

• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, possessing skills necessary to de-escalate high-stress situations effectively.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, available resources, and coping mechanisms that enhance recovery.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including team meetings and case consultations focused on trauma-informed practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually improve therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is focused on providing care to a diverse population of individuals affected by various forms of trauma. You will be working closely with clients dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, dissociative disorders, and related mental health challenges, ensuring they receive the tailored support necessary for effective recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.
\n
• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to implement trauma-focused therapeutic interventions effectively.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to client care.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and technology relevant to mental health care.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting, with a focus on trauma-related issues preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
