The position entails working remotely while maintaining close connections with our outpatient office team in Waldorf, Maryland. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their unique circumstances.

• Provide tailored individual and family therapy sessions aimed at addressing the specific needs and goals of each client.

• Execute timely billing and documentation processes, including the completion of individualized treatment plans and insurance authorization forms.

• Develop effective crisis plans and safety plans when necessary, incorporating relapse prevention strategies and wellness plans to support clients in maintaining stability.

• Create detailed discharge plans that facilitate a seamless transition for patients out of therapy while ensuring ongoing support.

• Adhere strictly to all relevant federal and state regulations, as well as organizational policies, to provide safe and compliant care.

• Engage in professional development through ongoing training and continuing education, contributing to your knowledge base and therapy skills.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultations and agency meetings, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and sharing of insights.

• Complete all licensure and mandatory training requirements promptly to maintain professional credentials.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will involve working with a diverse patient population, including individuals and families from various backgrounds. You will provide therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics, ensuring that your approach is tailored to the cultural and contextual needs of each client.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or a related field that fulfills licensure requirements.

• Current State license as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCPC, LMFT, LCSW-C).

Preferred Experience\n

While a Master’s degree and licensure are the primary qualifications, we value candidates with previous experience in outpatient settings, familiarity with evidence-based therapies, and proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Experience working within a team-oriented mental health setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
