Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments for clients, documenting their mental health history and presenting issues from the first meeting through the end of treatment.

• Evaluate the emotional, behavioral, and psychological health of clients through interviews, testing, and observational methods.

• Design tailored intervention and recovery plans that meet the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe environment where clients can express their thoughts and feelings openly.

• Track and monitor client progress against treatment goals, making adjustments to plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to develop comprehensive care strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) within the state of Massachusetts.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong foundation in mental health counseling principles and practices.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR.

• Comprehensive understanding of co-occurring disorders involving physical health and behavioral health issues.

• Knowledge of best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for documenting cases and communicating with team members.
\n
• Genuine empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, with documented success in treating various mental health conditions.

• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team is preferred, facilitating a comprehensive approach to client treatment.

• Previous experience with crisis intervention and stabilization is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
