Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insights into each patient’s trauma history, enabling the development of tailored treatment plans.

• Creating and executing individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, coping strategies, and resilience-building.

• Employing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process trauma and develop their emotional toolkit.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.

• Conducting crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support and safety planning.
\n
• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping strategies to enhance their understanding and management of their conditions.

• Maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Qualifications\n

To thrive in this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.

• A robust understanding of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

Preferred Experience\n
